So I adopted a sweet, 5 year old ragdoll cat from a breeder 3 days ago. A few hours after she arrived, she started sneezing constantly and her eyes were watery. The breeder came and took her to the vet (she hasn’t experienced this before) and the vet just said she had a little cold, gave her some medication and she should be fine. No further testing was done.
Now the cat is back home with the breeder for now until she is feeling better.
However I’m scared to adopt her now. What if it’s herpes and I’ll have to deal with a sick cat? I’m so sad because I already like her a lot and she is perfect for my home! But I’m not sure I want to have a sick cat.
What would you do?
