My family recently got a new pup, and she's on that phase where she plays and chews on everything that catches her eye. We have a sort of problematic alpha on the pack, and every time he and the pup are together he's around a 10feet radius, watching closely. As the puppy runs around he chases it constantly smelling it. And at times he would sort of hit it or try to pin it down with his paw. He's clearly not aggressive at her, but I'm still confused as to why and what he's trying to do. Does anyone know what's going on?
