Am I feeding my cats too much?

Got 2 cats from same litter and will be 1 year old in July. I have been giving them 1 small spoonful each of wet food around 7:30 in the morning each day and 1 small spoonful each around 5-7pm. Also, fill their bowl up with kitten chow in the morning, and top it off in the evening with their wet food. By night the bowls are almost empty and I usally put another scoop in each of their bowls at night cause I feel bad going to bed and it being empty.

Well, my tuxedo one feels about normal for weight, but my orange tabby feels VERY heavy, now when I first got them back in December, I had forgotten to cover the butter when I left for work and there was about a quarter of it left, and it was gone when I got home. The orange tabby likes to jump up on the table so I assume he ate it all. There was a time I also forgot to put the wet food back in the fridge after their dinner scoop, and I went outside, when i came back in alot of it was eaten and it was upside down on the floor. Again I assume my orange one ate it.

But yeah, my orange tabby is starting to look like one of those "oh lawd he coming" cats. Should I be cutting down on the dry food?
