For context, I live alone in a small 400 square foot apartment, I work 2nd shift from 3-11 and lately life's been getting a bit draining and stressful. I feel like having a pet to care for and love, with that love being reciprocated, would put me in higher spirits. I'd ideally like something I can physically interact with that can be affectionate. I'm willing to build my schedule around it and spend whatever's necessary to ensure their longevity and quality of life.
Given all this information, what would you say is the most ideal creature for myself to have as a pet? Thank you in advance for you answers!
