Cat Sleeping Aid?

So I have been feeding this cat outside of my house for about half a year. I finally managed to trap him and contacted a rescue to take him in. They agreed to take him in and asked me to foster him, so I have been for the past month. They just messaged me the other day telling me they would like to put him up for adoption since he is acclimating well and it just broke my heart. Sooooo....I adopted him. I have quite a few other animals and he gets along with them all. My only issue is that he is VERY loud and rambunctious during the night. I have exhausted my options and know of most ways to handle this sort of cat as I worked at a vet clinic previously. But none of the normal solutions such as playing with him before bed, giving him a meal before bed, ignoring him, etc. None of the usual solutions have worked. He is approximately 8 years old and they believe he spent most of his life on the streets (that is what my vet said) so I think it’s because he’s used to being out at night and running the streets, but I won’t let him back outside as he’s already older and I don’t want to risk him getting hurt. He also has urinary issues and I don’t want to risk him getting out and leaving for a few days and getting a blockage or something of the sort.

So my question is: Has anyone had an experience where they had to use a sleeping aid for their cat? Melatonin is safe for cats but I can’t find many chews or meds OTC for them that have very good reviews. I’m looking for suggestions for either something I can buy online or something I can ask my vet for to help him. I also already have Feliway and that hasn’t helped with that issue. I would appreciate any feedback. I love him very much but he is a major shithead during the night lol.
