I've had a 7 year old cat for about 6 years now and about 6 months ago I adopted a new cat, who is 10 months old. The older cat always hisses at her and punches her when she gets close. Sometimes my older cat attacks her even when the younger one is resting. The only time they don't mind each other is when eating. The cats are both female. How long does it take for them to calm down and be friends? Or is it going to stay that way? Both cats are spayed.
