Hi! I need cat advice! I have an indoor 10 year old cat. Before I even start.. getting rid of her is not an option. I'm moving in with a friend (who has a dog) to a very small house. I dont know how the animals will interact with eachother. I think the only and best option for right now is to have the litter box inside my room. Will having a litter box in my room be bad for my health? I will have two closets and the room is pretty decent sized. I was thinking of putting the box in one of the closets and leaving the door open enough for her to go in and have privacy, but closed enough to hopefully keep it contained mostly in there. Any suggestions on a litter box to get that is cleaner/more contained than others? I've tried the one with the hole in the top and she didnt like that kind. And she always leaves a trail of litter. What can I do to prevent it from being all over my room? She also scoots her bottom on the carpet after going either kind of potty (gross I know! 🤮). The house has hardwood floors, so she wont be able to get the same effect. Should I get her something for that? She has terribly stinky poops, so maybe I need to change her food and that'll help with the scooting problem and the stink? I dont know! Just looking for advice on how to deal with a stinky cat in a bedroom. It's not an ideal situation, but I have to make the best of it for now. Thanks for any advice you have to offer!
