How can I tell I’m my older cat is showing signs of Alzheimer’s/ dementia?

She’s a little over 10 years old, I don’t know exactly when my dad got her but she used to act fine like any other adult cat but I noticed since last year that she would meow/ cry at random times, especially at night. Now she is acting like a kitten, playing with her tail. And she is mostly laying down and sleeping. She wouldn’t play with toys, she’s a overweight cat. I told my mom that I’m not a vet, I’m not a professional or a student in anything medical, but the cat is acting similar to how Alzheimer’s/ dementia patients act/ think they are younger than they actually are. ( I’m not saying Alzheimer’s/ dementia sufferers in humans are the same as elderly pets, that’s not what I’m trying to say.) I don’t know any other possible signs of Alzheimer’s/ dementia in cats but those two signs stuck out to me. Sorry if I worded things wrong.
