Apologies if this is not the right place to post this.
So my 50lb labradoodle loves to play frisbee. Like, I’ve never seen a dog love doing something so much. She would literally catch a frisbee until she died of a heart attack/heat exhaustion. The issue is, I know it cannot be good for her joints and hips. She will be 6 in August but she still acts like she’s 2-3. Full of energy. I’d like to have her just play with a ball so she won’t have to jump.
However, the only time she will play with a ball is AFTER you throw the frisbee at least 10 times. If I try to just play with a ball, she just sits there very pathetically and sad as she just wants the frisbee. Is there a good way to start getting the frisbee out of her life and transition to a ball?
