I am starting to leash train my fully vaccinated puppy outdoors. On my first visit at the lake trail and play fields, he got excited and starting running and I ran along out of joy but I kept stopping him every minute for some time because puppies shouldn’t be running any distance until they are fully grown. Jack Russells are fully grown sooner than bigger dogs. Am I worrying here unnecessarily if it is just a minute or two of sprint that he just wants to get out of his system here and there during our walks? I don’t plan to physically exercise him longer that 15-20 minutes in one session.
