Okay so let me preface this by saying I’m a minor and live with my mom every other week, and my cat is there, so I have absolutely no say in what she does
Lately, I have noticed my cat breathing unusually rapidly, I looked it up and saw it could be a sign of respiratory distress
I told my mom that maybe we should take her for a checkup. However, she refuses, refusing that there is anything that could be wrong and saying that she doesn’t have time (which is not true, due to the fact that she always has a couple days in the week where she doesn’t have to work, and decides to go out with her friends on her own accord, and also the nearest vet from us is literally 5 minutes away.)
This is frustrating me greatly, as our cat of 7 years of age might be in trouble and I can do nothing about it because my mom doesn’t want to take her
She hasn’t had a checkup in literal years, and Im trying as hard as I can to get her the treatment she needs. Even if nothing is wrong with her, it’d be good to at least know that
Is there anything I can do? Or any info that can be given on my cat? Or anything really?? I’m just so annoyed right now
