It's been about a week and a half since we've moved into the new apartment, all of our cats have adjusted well. But today I noticed that my young male Moki is scared of the closet in the hallway that is right across the washer and dryer, he will sit from a distance and just stare endlessly into the closet. And it's only him who is scared of it, my other cats aren't scared of it. Not even my timid 3-legged female is scared of the closet. I've checked the closet multiple times and couldn't find anything that could be scaring him, I even emptied out the entire closet and he'd still be scared of it. I know cats have better senses than us and can see things that we physically can not, but since our other cats don't have an issue with the closet I can't really make proper guesses. Usually I wouldn't be concerned but whatever he sees, it's scaring him is causing him stress and he's now stress grooming and he's losing chunks of his fur from his lower back. The first thing that comes to mind is the possibility of ghosts, it wouldn't be the first time I've dealt with a Ghost nor had my pets be scared of a Ghost. But something about this situation doesn't scream ghost, I have a sick feeling in my gut and I don't know how to explain it. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to help my cat no longer be afraid of the closet?
