He's not exactly my official pet. But he's been living in my house, been eating food left behind my other pets. He's a rat that decided to make my house his home. He gets along with my dog and 4 cats. I've gotten fond of him. They've never bothered him. So, it left my mind that he'll be in danger when I let a stray cat in today. The cat looks bedraggled, thin and needed food. I heard him crying out to me outside. The cat seemed friendly enough, I gave him food and took him outside again. But he somehow learned how to enter the house via the roof, and the next thing I heard is my rat crying, and I saw him being held in the jaws of the stray cat. I feel sad, guilty and heartbroken. It's just early this morning I saw him sneaking around the house. Now, he's suddenly gone.
