On far too many occasions I've had to reexplain to family and vets on animal injuries to their left front paw or right back knee. And often found there is confusion of "Oh, did you say left or right side? Do you mean my left or the dog's left?" For the past two years I've changed to saying "Drivers side rear leg", "Front passengers side of the cat" and no one asks what I mean, or gets confused or forgets what we were keeping an eye on. Try it, it's just entertaining enough people remember.
