My gf is looking for an ESA pet as she has social anxiety. The therapist recommend a dog since they are more social and go outside more, which would kinda force my gf to go outside and meet people. However, she is most likely going to be working 9-5 at her job once things open up again, which should hopefully be in the next few months, so a dog is probably something we cannot get since we don't want to leave it alone all day (unless they are litter trained? lol). So the therapist recommended a doglike cat instead. Looking online, it seems like a ragdoll would be a good compromise between a dog and cat. Any other suggestions?
