I haven’t seen a mouse in my apartment in about 20 years. I had noticed that for about a week my cat kept staring behind the dresser in my bedroom. I didn’t think nothing of it at first. I wake up this morning and hear squealing and look up and see a live mouse in my cat mouth. I was startled and I think that’s the reason she dropped it. The mouse ran back behind the dresser. I left out the bedroom and came back two hours later. Not sure if my cat caught it but I don’t think so.
I also looked in the drawers in the same dresser my cat was trying to get behind and I see what I believe is mouse droppings in the drawers. The droppings were hard. I can’t believe it because I would’ve never guessed I had a mouse in the apartment. It is housing apartments so they are around at the same time. I assumed that a mouse wouldn’t come around if they smell a cat.
So what should my next step be? Should I buy mouse poison or should I wait and see if cat catches it?
