How to make meals more exciting for my senior dog?

I have a 14 year old male english springer spaniel who has become less interested in food in the last few months. He usually finishes all of his food but eats it incredibly slow. It may take him until 5 pm to finish half of his first meal (which is usually given to him around 8 am). My parents seem to believe he is eating this way because of his age, but I disagree. We usually give him half wet and half dry food mix in the morning. He’ll always immediately eat the wet food but drags his feet with consuming dry food. If we give him meals with only dry food he is not impressed. My mom is considering giving him less food which concerns me because she hasn’t experimented with other food first. He at least is eating all his food and hasn’t lost any weight but I am worried he is going long periods of the day haven not eaten much/low on nutrition.

I think his preferences have changed and he is bored of his meals. I have started adding turkey broth to his dry food and he has taken interest. Aside from adding wet food and broth what are other things you do to make your dogs meals more appealing? I would like to have a few options so I can regularly tweak his meals
