Hello,
My almost 3 yo cat is slightly overweight. The vet said he should be around 4 kg, or slightly more, but he is around 5.2 kg. Let's say I am aiming to go down to 4.5 and then check him again, to see if it needs more.
He used to eat Whiskas wet and dry food, but he only really liked the jelly outside the food and it was a waste of money, therefore we recently swapped with Sheba, and he loves it (still using Whiskas dry food, because we have a lot)
I am following the manufacturer's instructions and giving him 4 pouches of 50g + 15g of dry food, which is recommended for a 4 kg cat.
I timed it to give one pouch every 6 hours (6am, 12, 18, midnight), which covers the full 24h, but he often "complains" about it.
Am I doing right? Is it enough? Should I give more dry food, as at the moment is basically 90% wet?
Any advice?
Thanks!
