Advice on fighting Guinea Pigs.

I have adopted two male guinea pigs today as their previous owner could no longer care for them.

They've moved into my house however are in their same 2-story cage. They're both ~5/6 months old. As far as I am aware, they were bonded and living happily together under their previous owners care. Today, the day they were brought home, they had began rumbling, teeth chattering a fighting. There are some very minor bites around their mouths however one of the pigs has sustained a deepish bite on the side of its paw. It bled quite a large amount however has since stopped bleeding and after being cleaned with saline solution, seems to be rather minimal in damage (I'm unable to gauge it's depth due to fur), and the pig is walking with it's full weight and is not limping.

The pigs have of course been separated and will remain this way for the night. I'm unable to take the guinea pigs to vets as it's currently 00:30am, so would like some advice on what to do next?

I've read that they may fight over dominance and they've now moved house, and can be re-introduced. I'm unsure of when to reintroduce them, or whether they should instead be kept separately permanently? Will they continue to fight once reintroduced? Any advice is welcome.

Thanks all.
