I have three cats, (13, 10 and 2 yrs old) all strictly indoor, as in none of them have had outside experience before. They all grew up around each other and are very close.
The 10 yr old (fixed male) ran away from home three days ago, and I finally found him hiding in the neighbor's yard this evening. Ever since I brought him back in the other two cats have been hissing at him whenever he comes near them. Is this because he smells like other cats/outside/dogs/whatever or because they're mad he ran away? They're never known to hiss or show any sort of aggressive behavior as they're all very gentle and sweet, so I'm weirded about them suddenly hissing!
