Am I Making My Cat Uncomfortable?

A couple months ago I adopted this adorable tortoiseshell (abt 1 years old) and she was the sweetest little baby ever! She reminded me so much of my other cat that died really recently so I would often cuddle her and give smooches on her forehead. She didn't really mind anything I did until like a month ago, where she now (playfully) scratches me a lot. (I know it's playful because there are no annoyance/anger signs like tail twitching, flattened ears, etc) I don't mind the scratching, I'm not hurting or squeezing her when I cuddle, and she still sleeps right beside me every night.

I have another cat that I do the same with and he purrs like a motorboat and snuggles right back to me, but I think that's because I've had him for 10 years.

I'm just worried that she doesn't like me very much anymore because I can't resist scooping her up to give her kisses. Should I stop? Should I give her space? This is serious by the way.
