i have a tank that i want to put to use for something other than fish (already have that going in another tank). i would love to have a heavily planted tank. i love the idea of a hands on pet like beardies (not that they are compatible with plants anyways), but i have two cats, and i have very little faith in them seeing anything smaller than them as anything but prey. i might consider a pet that requires being handled if someone could really convince me. no snakes and only herb/insectivores. preferably only veggies or pellets as food. any furry guys that like lots of greenery? i know im all over the place. if it matters whatever i decide on i will only be rescuing (craigslist or local organization). let me hear all of your thoughts!
