Following brain surgery to remove a tumor, my dogs has been now unable to get up or even hold her head properly, go to the bathroom or eath unassisted. Last night was the first night she was home with us. She doesn't want to go on a training pad and fights it horribly, holding it to the last moment and being uncomfortable for hours before she has to go. It's awful, she whines and cries and tries to move and then hurts herself. She's also lost her vision, so this adds up to her anxiety. I cannot imagine what she must be feeling. The vet is telling us that she'e shown great progress since surgery and that we should give her time but I just don't see it. This is not quality life for a dog. I don't know what to do.
