First time dog owner. My wife and I adopted him about 5 weeks ago. He's 20 months old and plott hound (50%) pitt (25%) other (25%) mix. We try to make sure we exercise him a bit. 20 minute walk in the morning and a 1 mile jog plus 1 mile walk at night. We would like to jog the whole thing, but he is quite tired half way through, so we are working up his stamina. I also come home at lunch for a 20 minute walk most days. However, with our schedules, he is by himself from 08:00 to 17:00 days I cannot come home.
He has been fine up until today, but today he destroyed his dog bed :(. Today was actually a day I came home at lunch too. I am assuming he is just bored without us, so how do we deal with this?
