I have an unneutered 3-year-old Golden retriever. Our vet told us not to neuter him because it increases cancer rates for golden retrievers. We have a tenant who is going to rent a room from us and has a Cane Corso female who is not spayed. He was planning to get her neutered before he moved in but the vet refuses to do it within two months of her first heat. So the first month of his tenancy his dog would not be neutered. I've heard that If the dog is not in heat she isn't in danger of getting pregnant. Could the dog stay with us as long as she's not in heat or does she need to find another place to live for the first month?
