My cat is a sweet cat. She loves being near me and laying on my lap/legs.
This past week though she's been acting weird: She'll come lay on my legs (like always) but will often suddenly sit up and stare at me. And not in a nice way. I'll get a little scared and she'll come really close to me in a threatening way. I'll feel like I need to protect myself and grab her (but never in a way that would be painful to her) to keep her from jumping at my face and she'll simultaneously start biting/clawing at me. Then I'll pick her up and bring her somewhere else and go back to where I was. Then she'll eventually come back to me and try to be near me again. Sometimes nothing happens and sometimes the whole thing plays out again.
I am so confused. Why has this suddenly started happening? She's almost 4 years old and I've had her since she was a kitten. And all this only started like last week.
If anyone has any ideas pls let me know. If this doesn't change, I might take her to the vet to see if everything is okay with her.
