About two days ago I woke up to my cat (she’s 6 years old) shaking her head quite a bit and not letting anyone come near her ears. I thought it was ear mites as I have had cats with them before so I went out and got medicine to give to her. It has been hard to put the drops into her ears since she swats whenever I come near them, but I’m doing my best.
Today, however, she’s started sneezing very frequently and shaking her head whenever she does so. I haven’t noticed any discharge from her eyes/nose or trouble eating, although she may be sleeping more than usual. It is hard to tell since I’m not used to seeing her throughout the entire day like I am now.
I have called a few vet clinics and have been sent straight to voicemail. Many are working odd hours and closing early due to everything going on right now and I haven’t heard back all day. I’m not too worried but is this something that I can expect to go away without a visit to the vet or does it seem more urgent than that? Sorry this is a bit rambly, I’ve never seen my kitty under the weather before.
