Ideas on how to help cat gain weight

Hi!

Age: 16? We got her as a rescue but she was way older than the told me. This is my vets best guess

I have had an eldery cat who I came into care of. Shes such a love and the sweetest thing but to be real, shes skin and bones. The vet says she seems happy and healthy, not in any pain so we just got to work on her weight.

At the moment I leave dry food out for her and my other cat to free feed (blue buffalo wilderness) and I give her 2 cans of wet food a day (also blue buffalo wilderness). Shes always hungry, but then I gave her food she eats about 1/4 and lays down, then comes back hours later. I've been watering down her food too becuase shes only got 3 teeth left so it's easy to chew. I've been giving her hemp oil for a while now and it's actually seemed to improve her coat and her attitude.

Am I feeding her the right food to help her gain weight? Are there supplements I can give her to help? Also any recommendations for just making her eldery life more comfy? Any suggestions on how I can do that?
