With the ongoing panic of the coronavirus everyone is stocking up on toilet paper in the case of a quarantine. But what about pet food? I've got as much boxes as I can budget but I can't help but worry about what could possibly happen if I run out and for whatever reason cannot access store bought cat food.
Background: I have 3 elderly cats turning 14 in 10 days (they're all siblings from the same litter) All of them are on a wet only diet because of reoccurring constipation and a big scare with megacolon in one of them.
I am a skilled angler and go fishing quite often. I live close to a reservoir where I frequently catch largemouth bass to cook and eat. Note that it's a reservoir so it's widely known the fish are safe for human consumption. My question is, if worse comes to worse is it safe to make homemade cat food from local wild caught fish such as largemouth, smallmouth, bluegill, and pickerel? If so is it better to give it raw or cooked?
Maybe i'm overthinking but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
