We recently lost our little girl kitty at only 1.5 years old. She was a companion to our 12 year old boy who lost his litter mate two years prior. He does not do well as an only cat and was constantly looking/calling/generally sad. We brought him two new companions about two weeks later, hoping he would bond to one like he did with his companion. Big boy and little boy are not getting along and little girl is very polite/friendly but big boy finds her too forward. We’ve only had them for about three weeks but we’ve tried meals together, treats together, play together. Everything is still very on edge. What’s the longest transition period you’ve ever had with a new pet and did everything eventually work itself out?
