New to reddit, not sure how this works.
Anyways, I’m moving to Alaska from the upper Midwest this summer. I’m 21, full time student (online) so I live at home with my mom and brother.
We have two pets, a cat and a dog. For both of their life’s, they have been extremely attached to me, and vise versa. While I will miss them, life goes on, and it won’t destroy my life.
However, I’m concerned about my dog. She has serve anxiety, and if I’m gone for more than a day she gets depressed and completely shuts down (stops eating, drinking, going to the bathroom).
How can I work on helping her adjust these next few months, so when I do leave it isn’t this massive shock for her. It will be easier on me knowing that she can at least be somewhat happy without me.
