My Bernese Mountain Dog (Age 7) is acting strangely. What do you think it is?

So, this literally just happened a couple of minutes ago. I'm on mobile, so sorry for any formatting problems. Usually, my dog, Arthur, usually starts out by sleeping in my dads room, and moves to god knows where throughout the rest of the night. When I wake up, I go to use the bathroom, and my dog was laying there, pressed up against my door. (My bedroom is located just outside the landing, positioned so that someone could run up the stairs, and continue into my bedroom) It isnt weird for him to sleep at the top of the landing, but he was up against my door. I poke him with my toe to wake him up and say good morning, before I use the bathroom. I piss, and see him walking into the guest bedroom, right next to my bedroom, on the right side. Usually, he likes to chew his raw hide. So I think, 'OK, he probably just left it in there last night' and I go in there to see, and he is just sitting in the middle of the room. He eventually notices me and starts nuzzling me between my legs, like he usually does when he sees me or anyone else in my family, and all the other good morning procedures, such as parading around beside me. We go into my room, and he lays down, so I sit down next to him. Do you ever have that feeling that something isnt right? Like everything looks right, but every part of your body is just screaming red flags? I checked his patterns, and everything seemed right, matched up with the pictures I had of him. He isnt taking his eyes off of my now. His eyes weren't warm and comforting, like, 'Hey, everything is going to be ok' he looked somewhat crazed if I'm being honest. I move around the room, and he doesnt take his eyes off of me. I conclude that he just needs more love, so I sit I front of him and start petting, him and scratches, and all that. Moments later, he gets up, and I can see he wants to leave. I haven't seen him since, but I just felt like he was back to normal. During the whole thing he just felt asleep. It was like reverse sleep paralysis, he was able to move and interact with things, but his brain was still asleep. I am most likely over reacting, but I just needed to ask this here. Thanks in advance!
