I finally got my cat neutered this Monday and the vet sent us home with the cone of shame.
He hates it so much. The first day he had it he spent an entire 4 hours trying to take it off. And this next day he spent most of it on my bed moping and only eating if I brought the food to him.
I don't have much access to be able to buy him a different cone right now. But I hate seeing him so unhappy.
Would it be okay to take off his cone in a couple days instead of 10? I asked my vet that but she was adamant I keep it on him that long but he's really unhappy. I don't want him to get depressed.
