I’m have a dog a 9 year old Pitbull. Ball of energy about 65LBS. I got him along with my girlfriend a few years ago, we both work crazy schedules so I opted to keep him at her home, (we broke up) she too has a dog similar in size and weight. Apparently they have been being underfed and her neighbors instead of talking to her about it kept calling animal control, well they took both of them away yesterday. I’m conflicted on weather to just let them go or go rescue them again. She’s claiming to want to get them back as well but keeps making excuses as to why she can’t have them any longer. I work a busy schedule and I’m about to start police academy. My dog gets on my nerves like crazy but I can’t stand the thought of never having access to him again would it be selfish of me to rescue him even if I don’t have the space? (I live with roommates) I could rescue her dog, he’s much quieter and independent almost like a cat. What should i do.
