My kitten wont stop licking his wound

hi,

i have a 1/yo kitten, he got a wound in his feet I dont know how.
I took him to vet, they gave me liquid medicine to feed and an ointment. But he chokes on medicine and throws it up. Am I doing anything wrong??

I was suggested to use e-collar. As soon as I take off e-collar he starts licking the wound which makes it even worse. He cannot eat or poop with e-collar on. So, I take it off few times. But he licks the wound. He has lost all the hairs in that area.

Help me. Vets are also unavailable from today due to COVID19.
