My senior cat (female, 11) wont stop attacking my younger cat (11 months)

So I have 4 cats and they all seem to get on apart from my oldest cat who seeks out my youngest and fights her. My oldest has always been somewhat aggressive to my other female cat(which was her own kitten) but has never seeked her out to fight . The youngest cat can be cuddling with me minding her own business and pixie(oldest cat) will hunt her. If i catch her , its almost like watching her hunt a bird. We have tried separation but with 2 other cats it gets tricky and sometimes we leave doors open by accident . I cant really see anything on the internet that describes my problem. The problem has also got alot worse wince we spayed my youngest which i don’t understand. I also know cats can be quite territorial but that wouldn’t make sense either since my oldest cat likes to be in the kitchen and back porch while my kitten sticks to my bedroom and front porch. . I am having a really hard time understanding her aggression that seems to have ramped up in the last 3 weeks (had kitten since mid august)
