I don’t really understand why people assume that, if there’s algae in your fish tank you’re neglecting your fish or that your fish tank isn’t up to par. My goldfish loves to suck the algae from the decorations in the tank when he’s hungry. Plus, fish life in ponds and streams outside that have way more bacteria and environmental hazards. Algae should be the least of their worries. As long as the ammonia levels in the tank are fine, and there’s plenty of room for the fish to swim, then everything’s good (assuming the aquarium is filled with freshwater and not tropical fish). There is bacteria in the fish tank that is really good for aquarium health.
