About every two hours, my cat [M/14] starts howling at me and won't stop until I follow him on a tour of the entire house, looking in every room. He won't tolerate any closed interior doors, even on closets -- meowing loudly outside them until I leave them open. This goes on all day, then he seems to relax about it at night.
He also will only sleep or hang out near me during the day, again going back to normal at night and doing his own thing.
What's up with this? I can't help but think it might be due to my not leaving the house for several weeks, and this being a disruption to his routine. I just can't figure out why he seems almost paranoid about patrolling the house.
