The vet diagnosed hyperthyroid and put my cat on methimazole. About six weeks have elapsed since she started taking it; recent bloodwork shows thyroid levels are now normal, and she is continuing to take it.
My cat started shedding LIKE CRAZY after starting this prescription. She never shed like this before. I can't find anything online linking shedding to the drug. Anybody have experience or insights? Thank you!
