We have a cat, Diego, who's about 10 years old and has been an outdoor cat for his whole life. We heard a couple weeks ago that a tiger at the Bronx Zoo tested positive for the coronavirus, and have since read that it's potentially possible for animals to carry the virus, even if they never display symptoms of COVID-19. We decided it would be best not to let him outside until it the quarantine generally ends.
Ever since we made that decision, it's unsurprisingly caused Diego to become very annoying and frustrated with us. He stands next to the back door constantly bugging me to let him out. I'm sure he's very confused and probably feeling very bored being kept inside.
Does anyone else here have an outdoor cat and is experiencing the same thing? Or maybe does anyone have tips on ways I can calm him down/entertain him while he's stuck inside like us? Thanks!
