I just adopted a cat two days ago, now on day three, and he has been hiding nonstop. I expected this, but what concerns me is that he's not eating or drinking water and he's not coming out to use his litter box. I've tried feeding him soft cat food, hard cat food, cat treats, and canned tuna. None of it has worked. Do I just sit patiently and wait for my cat to warm up to the new environment? Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable in the meantime, or should I take him to the vet?
