Hi guys,
I have a small cat, he is about 9 month old and since i adopted him, i can't sleep past 7 anymore. I have tried several things:
- I feed on a 8 hour cycle: at 7am, 3pm and 11 pm. I could change the schedule but no matter what he wakes me up at around 6, sometimes even earlier.
- I tried closing the door of my bedroom, but he just scraches it and even sometimes hurt himself in the process, wich wakes me up anyway.
- If i don't close the door, he comes on the bed, boop me at first, and then scratches me until i get up.
- The advice i have been getting is to ignore him, but you can't really ignore a cat that's scratching you...
I have been thinking of buying an automatic food distributor, but I don't think this would even change anything because the food isn't the only problem. Even if i get up and feed him, then go back to bed, he will come back right after he is finished eating and behave the same as before until I get up.
I'm beginning to feel sleep depraved, and i don't know really know what I can try anymore. Do you guys have any idea ?
