Me and my wife adopted a female cat, B, from a shelter and everything was fine. She was a little timid and didn't really socialize and we recently found a male kitten, T, lost in the road that we took in, and B is extremely mean to T. B regularly hides from people and runs away from everyone. Regularly she attacks him and makes him cry and he poops because he's terrified. I don't know what to do, sometimes they're sweet and can stand each other but then it's like a switch and she's out to kill him. He's got marks all over his body from her and is constantly terrified of her.
He's not a mean cat, he's a normal kitten. He likes to play and cuddle and all of that good stuff, he does get a little rough sometimes. Sometimes he instigates it but most of the time it's her causing the issues. I don't want to re-home her because I feel that's wrong but it's not right for T to live in fear and I'm afraid eventually it'll be a vet or a funeral I'll have to pay for. I love T to death but if I can't feel right getting rid of B. I need help, what can I do to make her more accepting or to mellow out?
