My 10 year old cat suddenly got sick since Monday last week she started to eat less and less, she started vomiting (white and yellow) by Wednesday last week. Friday I went with the cat to one of "the best" vets in my town. Without checking the temperature, without any ecography, he only did a blood test, he told me the cat has pancreatitis and is something wrong with the liver.
The doctor gave me Hepatiales Forte, and told me to give them to the cat every 24 hours, and Royal Canin Hepatic or Hills L/D, but my cat was not eating anything after I gave her the Hepatiales Forte.
Here are the results form the blood test on Friday.
Saturday, she drank a bit of water by herself, but she was feeling worse and vomited several times.Sunday, I was able to schedule an appointment for an emergency and went with the cat to another vet. They put her in perfusion and her temperature was 39.4 celsius. They also did a blood test and a radiography.
This time, the ALP and GPT went back to normal, but the total bilirubin was 4.6 which is way higher than normal. Doctors, told me she have icterus, but I didn't notice any yellowish skin color on Friday or Saturday.
Here are the results form the blood test on Sunday.
Results form quick tests on Sunday.
When I got home, the cat was a bit better but she was still vomiting once or twice per day. Her pee was orange-brown.
Monday, I went again to the vet clinic and they did an ecography and perfusion. The cat was so stressed when I got her, she had foam at the mouth and lasted for 3-4 hours. The doctors told me they ecography was blurry and they couldn't see anything and they told me they want to open her and see what's inside. Because the cat was feeling worse I asked the doctors what treatment they applied to her, because didn't write anything.
They answered, they applied Sol. Ringer i.v, Glucose 5% i.v, No-Spa i.m, Pen-Strep i.m and Melovem s.c, both Sunday and Monday.
I wasn't happy with the state of my cat, so I went for third opinion.
Tuesday, she didn't had temperature, but in the morning, she vomited pink liquid with a bit of blood wires. The third doctor did an ecography and he told me the cat has a fatty liver.
The doctor said, it's not necessary for surgery and we should keep her on perfusion with glucose and he gave me a Reconvales Tonicum Cat as a supplement to give her 4 times per day on which the cat feels better.
When I got the cat home, she was feeling a bit better. In this time, all doctors told me to continue with the Hepatiales Forte.
Wednesday, I went to the vet again for the perfusion, but when I got home, she was feeling a bit better, till in the evening when I gave her Hepatiales Forte twist-off caps.
She vomited 2 times. First time she vomited after 30 minutes after I gave her Hepatiales Forte, and it was smelling like that medicine, but she had the strong to leave the bed and go to her toilet and vomit there.
Should I stop with Hepatiales Forte? Maybe that was causing the Icterus?
Should I cook her rice and force feed her with a syringe?
I give her 1-2 ml of water ever 2-3 hours.
Please help me with any advices to make Cleo healthy again!
