My cat is now around 12-13 years old give or take. I've always fed him (~170g) of "wet" food at ~6pm for, with biscuits always available throughout the day. He seems a normal weight but nowadays he spends a lot more of his time sleeping on the couch, and starts crying for dinner as early as 3:30-4pm.
I thought he might need to be fed more now, but since he's more inactive I would assume that would lead to him being overweight quickly. I'm not sure if maybe he needs to be fed earlier now or if he's just being greedy and trying his luck for an early meal.
