Sometimes, out of nowhere, my cat will start arching her back and approaching and running away from me. I know that this is typical behavior when interacting with other cats, but sometimes when I play along, I'm unsure if she is actually scared, or just playing. Is it alright to play along with this? It is always, her, that initiates this behavior, as I'm just sitting on the couch just watching tv or something similar.
I dont want her to become afraid of me by chasing her around, but it seems to me, that's what she wants. I've done it before and she'll run around like she's scared, but then flops down on the floor and rolls around for belly rubs.
Is this alright, or should I not do this?
