Subcutaneous Fluids for Cat

A few weeks ago, we visited the vet to run some blood tests for our cat. After seeing the results, the vet said he had increased creatinine levels and that we needed to administer subcutaneous fluids (200ml/day) for the next two weeks then return for a followup test.

Unfortunately, our city has gone into lockdown and we're not going to be able to return to the vet any time soon.

Our question is: Is it safe to continue administering the fluids until we can return to the vet?

Highly appreciate anyone who can help.
