Coming to the realisation I can’t commit to a pup is really hard:(

I love dogs they’re my favourite companion. I love spending time with them and well they help my depression a lot.

Recently me and my family talked and my parents work full time. Up at 5 am at work by 7:30/8 and and home around 6-8 pm too. And they don’t even live near home. And I also work similar hours to them.

Today we discussed it and realised no one can commit, no one can take care of a pup the way it needs to be cared for and it’s really sad because I do love them but I don’t want to mistreat one. It would break my heart

My parents also had a cat 19 years ago and are still heartbroken from it’s death

Are there any ways I can do volunteer dog walking or borrowing in the U.K. where it’s low commitment
