Forgive me if this comes off as weird, because I've never used reddit before. I only made this account so I could hopefully get some advice about my situation. A few months back, my family and I moved out of our house. We have a cat, however unfortunately, we couldn't take him with us at the time. Now we are living all separated, my dad is somewhere else while I'm living with my mom and younger sibling. We've missed our cat immensely but we just haven't had the space and time to get him. Now, as of recently, we've been trying to get him back. One of our old neighbors posted a pic of him on FB and my mom contacted her, but the chick ignored her. My mom asked a few more people in the neighborhood, which have all ignored her. To make matters worse, the new owner of our house threw out all of our cat's belongings (food bowl, litter box, etc.) and they won't help us find him either. Absolute assholes. Plus, since there were plenty of cat people in our old neighborhood, there's always a possibility that somebody took him for themselves. They could all be hiding something, and that's why they won't respond to us. I'm honestly in a bind because this cat was really expensive, plus we traveled to a completely different state just to pick him up from a breeder. This cat played a big part in keeping my mental state at bay when it was spiralled out of wack. I miss him more and more day by day. If there is anything, any advice that anyone can offer, I will take it. Please.
