My kitty was neglected by my aunt and uncle so I took her in. She was around 4 mos at the time. I’ve been feeding her wet and dry food and she’s up to date on all her shots. She’s so precious and perfect, however she’s really small.
I don’t know if she’s the runt of the litter, but she’s 9 mos now and barely weights 5 pounds (4.73 the last time she went). Each time she goes to the Vet they say she’s perfectly healthy and normal, but even they were surprised when I tell them her age. I read up on it and it says that she’s supposed to be the same weight as her age but she’s not. She’s been around other cats and they’re literally 3-4x her weight. Everyone I know loves that she’s so small, but I don’t know if this is a cause for concern.
She’s my first companion besides some goldfish I had when I was a child, so I’m new to being a pet parent. Should I be concerned although the vets keep reassuring me she’s fine? Is this normal? Will she ever grow? Am I overreacting?
